What a crazy few days we’ve had here with the ikandi team.  We’ve just come off the back of a massive project for Timebased Events, Harrods and Vogue Magazine.

We’ve been filming at the ‘Vogue Fashion Festival’ sponsored by Harrods at the Southbank Centre since Thursday, covering the build and preparation of the event as well as the two crazy days of fashion, catwalks and thousands upon thousands of members of the public.

The project involved 2 x 30 hour timelapses shot on our 5d mkiii and 550d cameras as well as some GoPro timelapse goodness as well. We got to work alongside some lovely people, got to meet some fashion experts and one or two supermodels as well.

The brief called for us to produce one overview video of the event, two films covering the event in more detail as well as a few teaser videos for instagram.

The main video had to be ready for approval by Monday morning (15 hours after the event finished) so powered on by a lot of coffee, room service and Anchorman 2, on the in-room tv service, we managed to meet the deadline and get approval.

In 5 days only 11 hours of sleep occurred, but it was well worth it….. Never before have I slept so well on a train back to the beautiful county of Cornwall that we’re lucky enough to call home.

It has taken a little  while as we have been very busy with exciting projects for Timex, Harrods and Vogue, but our new website is now live! New showreel coming soon.

We’re currently in the post-production stage of an exciting project for the Cornwall Development Company. It’s all part of their ‘See The Light’ campaign which is trying to encourage businesses to invest in Cornwall and its flourishing business environment. We’ve been able to film in and around Cornwall for the last few months, meeting some great people and seeing first hand the diverse range of businesses that are basing their operations out of this fine county. For anyone interested in Techy / Geeky style bits of information – We’ve been shooting most of the GV footage for this project on our new Canon 5d mkiii, using a shoulder mount rig from Half Inch Rails. We couldn’t be happier with the results.

 

It’s been a mad few months for us, with a wide range of projects on the go at various stages. As well as filming two new projects for regular clients MDTi, we have also struck up new working relationships with several new companies. We’ll keep you up to date on each new project as they happen. Our work with the Cornwall Development Company on their ‘See The Light’ campaign has expanded and we are currently finishing off video case studies of 5 local businesses to be featured on their website. Other projects have included creating a PR showreel for a very successful financial company, DVD Menu design for a local creative consultancy and producing a demonstration DVD for Dennis Eagle’s new SPEEDLINER waste vehicle.
