The Craziness Continues At Ikandi Towers!!

At the moment we’re working on a nice wide range of projects for some of our lovely clients.

We’re currently finishing up a film and edit job for Cornwall Development Company that is championing the Marine Renewables Sector supply chain down in Cornwall.

Toby has been out filming another music video for The Claze this time at Haywoods Cider Farm.

We’re also finishing off a long-term project with the lovely people at the ERDF Convergence Team down in Truro.

We’ve also just started the pre-prod planning on a little project with a lovely local charity and are also planning a two project assault in London for late April.

Nothing like keeping on your toes eh!!

Happy New Year to all our ikandi friends

We’d like to wish everyone who we’ve worked with, for and alongside a very happy, merry, prosperous New Year.

As well as loads of fun projects to look forward to in the next 12 months, Toby & Tom will also be enjoying new additions to their families.

And talking of families, a huge thank you to the amazing freelance team that have helped to carry out some of our larger projects.  You all rock and we couldn’t be happier with your work and can-do attitude.

Our New Premises

Hi All

We’ve officially moved (well, at least half of our kit and belongings!) into our new premises just outside of Wadebridge.

We’re now located in office space at the Hawksfield site and are delighted to be surrounded by some lovely companies such as Strong Adolfos (amazing coffee and flapjacks), Jo & Co (lovely interior design items) and Circle Contemporary Gallery (home to John O’Carroll’s studio and a changing rosta of exhibitions).

Although Toby, as a Padstow Boy through and through, found it slightly strange making the move, we’ve settled in really quickly and are looking forward to utilising some of the additional space available to us to make a really cool extra workspace.

Working alongside Macmillan Cancer Cornwall

We’ve just started a bit of a secret project with Macmillan Cancer Support Cornwall and are already blown away by the work that the charity does.  Hopefully everything will be revealed soon, but for now we’ve got eyes on viewfinders, heads in the edit suite and all our efforts put in to ensure we do justice to Macmillan’s hard work and message.

Our work on the TIMEX “Wear It Well” campaign gets an airing

A few months ago we began work on a pretty intense two day shoot alongside MHP Communications and their client TIMEX.

The project involved filming 16 short videos, in a variety of locations in London with the common theme of each video being…… “How does the UK Wear It Well?”

There was a fair amount of shooting on busy streets with members of the public, talking to our presenter (MTV’s Laura Whatmore) as well as a few location shoots with Fashion Insiders. We’ve linked to one of the videos on our homepage so you can take a look.

The videos will be slowly drip-fed to the public during the duration of the promotion.

Just another example of the wide range of work that ikandi undertake every day.

What Toby does when he’s not in ikandi towers

Ok, this is blatant promotion for other avenues……..

But when I’m not filming and editing, and spending time with my gorgeous family, I am pretty much consumed by musical adventures.

I’ve just taken on the role of ‘front of house’ sound engineer for The Fisherman’s Friends, which will see me touring around the country and I’m also an active member of two bands and a solo acoustic project as well.

One of my bands, The Stowes, is starting to pick up a bit of heat, we’ve managed to play infront of a few 500+ people crowds down at The Cornish Pirates, we’re playing big weddings, functions and have bookings for a few folk festivals as well.

You can check out our website here for gig updates, videos, songs and all sorts of gubbins!!

Enjoy
